HAIR CARE GUIDE: HOW TO DIAGNOSE YOUR LOCKS!
January 11th, 2017
And work out which products are right for you in the process! A hassle-free guide to getting the best out of your hair, consistently.
(And work out which products are right for you.)
We know the struggles of walking down the hair care aisle and being bombarded with so many different products that you don’t even know where to begin.
HOW CAN THERE BE SO MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF HAIR!?
Oily at the root but dry at the tip?
Dry and static?
Dry and flat?
Thick and flat?
Thin and coarse?
Flat and frizzy?
And everything else in between. Apparently.
Short answer: there simply aren’t. We have broken them down into three core groups; and we’re pretty happy with the result – even if we do say so ourselves.
Slightly longer answer: while, of course, hair type will differ from person to person; dependent on genes and a few naturally occurring, contributing factors that are out of our control (like climate, weather, illness, stress etc.). The truth of it is, that the state and nature of our hair is also massively impacted by external factors; things that we can actually take control of. Excessive heat exposure, extreme bleaching or colouring, harsh chemicals and over-washing are just a few examples of ways in which we are, in fact, doing more damage to our hair than we are good. So if we strip back on some of those bad things, that we do have control over, then the true beauty and nature of our hair will show itself once more. Meaning that our needs will become a lot easier to identify. Sounds good, right?
And don’t feel bad, we’ve all been guilty of pushing our hair to its limit at one point or another. Even us. (Shhhhh, don’t tell Jessica!)
The good news though, is that we have gone back to basics with our Onira Hair Care Guide. Stripping back all the ‘fancy’ terminology, hair care buzzwords and misleading advertising that so often comes as part of the packaging with hair products, (literally), we would like to introduce you to our glorious shampoo range that caters to absolutely everyone. Whatever your hair type. (Yes, really!)
There are 3 shampoos in the Onira range; each one is specially designed to combat a different hair woe; all while still cleansing the scalp and hair shaft naturally and effectively, of course! (Our guide might be simple, but our products are as luxurious as they get!)
So which one is right for you? Let’s find out…
Hair concern –
A sensitive scalp, prone to oil build up or dandruff.
You are in desperate need of The Delicate.
Formulated specifically for those with sensitive scalps, our The Delicate shampoo purifies, soothes and caresses the scalp to eliminate dandruff, and prevent oil build up, with bacteria fighting Australian Tea Tree Oil. Your scalp health will be rejuvenated and hair left silky to the touch. Win, win.
Hair concern –
Very dry or damaged hair that leaves your locks feeling coarse, brittle or lacking in moisture.
Combining cleansing power and a much needed moisture boost, our Nourishing shampoo is the answer to your dry and damaged hair woes. Extracts of Centella and Argan Oil penetrate the core of the hair follicle and restore strength in fragile, broken and over-treated hair.
(Insider tip: If your hair is really dry, damaged or suffering then mix up a few spoons of our hair saviour, The Mask, with a pump, or two, of our other fav, The Serum, in our handy Shaker and apply directly to DRY hair (yes, we said dry) once a week. Leave on for at least 15 minutes and then wash your hair as normal with your chosen Onira shampoo and follow with The Conditioner. Your tresses will be eternally thankful!).
Hair concern –
Hair that is not easily categorised, can’t make up it’s mind, or is just in need of a reliable, everyday product.
The Natural. This is our all-rounder. It’s a total fail safe. Created with everyone in mind; boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives, grandparents, children and anyone else in between, The Natural shampoo revitalises and regenerates thanks to the super-powered Calendula flower concentrate; famed for its protective action. (That’s as fancy as our terminology here gets, we promise!)
So, that’s it – the Onira Hair Care Guide.
We told you it was simple! But, if you’re not convinced yet, then you had better try some of our products for yourself.
